Science Project

 EmberLee's science currently is on birds. She's made a bird feeder, and has used binoculars to watch the birds that come and eat from her feeder. One of the fun things she did this past week was making a quill pen out of a real feather. Her science curriculum has all the things she needs for every project. Ink powder was included, with 2 turkey feathers and directions :). So we followed the directions soaking the feather tip in warm water to soften the boning of the feather, then cutting the tip in half length wise an 1/8", then cutting off the bottom half, and cutting off the edges of the top half making a v tip. Then we mixed the water in with the ink.

When they were done we let them dry, and this is what they will turn in for our Science samples to our teacher. They had fun.
